I think it's safe to assume that we've all been through this.
There's a lot of video games being played in my castle of late.
I exaggerated Long Hair in Panel 3 a bit because during some downtime I exposed Boy O to the blog, and the one thing he laughed at was pictures of Long Hair freaking out.
Cheers!

Punk Rock Drum Machine Comic Strip 01/19/2010
As promised, a college student playing video games.
I must have been a serious student in college, as I didn't get a game system until after when I had a real job and more free time. I"m sure if I had a game system, I would not have gotten assignments done on time. I think I also benefited from the good game systems not coming out until after I graduated. Yet once I played Sonic on my friends Sega and was blown away by the killer graphics...
I'm pleased with the facial expressions in panel 3. I think video game faces are funny.
As for the Punk Rock Drum Machine album, 10 songs are done, and a title track of "Punkaliscious" is among them. Having trouble coming up with artwork and I'm tempted to ask some of my artists friends for "punkaliscious" art. One dumb idea I've had is Punk Rock (the robot) with the Ziggy Stardust swoop. This may be the first Punk Rock Drum Machine album without a cover. I kind of tapped out last year, and the only one I'd like to do is probably "Texas" by Sandy Cheeks.
More video game fun next week.

Punk Rock Drum Machine Comic Strip 01/12/2010
First off, Happy Belated New Year.
For those that are wondering where is last week's strip, let's just say I took one of those cartoonist hiatus that are so popular. One could also be correct in guessing that I had slacked and used up the lead of strips I built up. I'll see if I can get some churned out in the week's ahead. One thing I did a lot of in college was watch TV and play video games, so we can look forward to some strips of Long Hair and Punk Rock couch surfing.
We start the year off with a wrap up of the movie thread which was a homage to the Lisbeth Salander and the Millennium Trilogy. I'm also giving a nod to the cool ones with leather jackets.
What I like best about this week's strip besides the leather jacket quip is I got to draw the grumbling cursing swirl above Punk Rock's head in panel 3 which I haven't done since the second strip. I was reminded of it recently when my Mii character was losing in tennis. Thank you Nintendo.
