Punk Rock Drum Machine Comic Strip 10/27/2010

As promised, a strip for Halloween. It is my first single panel of the strip so far and actually includes some background illustration.

Under normal circumstances I would probably offer apologies to creator, George Lucas, for my poor take on his characters, but in all seriousness with all the other Star Wars criticisms living on the internet, do you think he really cares about this?  If apologies are in order it should be for putting out a strip despite having any talent other than for drawing a swirly eyed robot.

Punk Rock Drum Machine Comic Strip 10/20/2010

So there it is, a strip with characters called "Long Hair" and "Punk Rock", both of which were names street vendors in Mexico used to call me to try and get me to buy a leather jacket.  

I think next week's strip may be a special Halloween one, which will buy me time on debuting a new character.

To avoid this week's strip containing an inside joke or hip reference for kid's television programming, I'm providing a definition of "Robo-Cluck 3000" via the wubblog

The Robo-Cluck 3000. A robotic chicken that lays over a hundred eggs a minute.

 So there is no inside joke since I googled the definition for you, but just trust me that if someone thought of comparing you to a Robo-Cluck 3000, you'd be offended because it is the most ridiculous robot I could think of.

And for those on pins and needles wondering if Long Hair is going to call his new companion "Punk Rock Drum Machine", next week's strip will answer that question once and for all.

Exciting isn't it?

Punk Rock Drum Machine, annoying and helpful.

I was glad to read in a book on cartooning that you should never do lettering in anything but all caps.  I can't wait to find more rules to break...What next?  Be funny and know how to draw????  HAHAHAHA!!!!!
